The NYC City Council met on February 11, 2021 and discussed 47 bills. 17 bills were approved, including "Transfer of land, buildings and facilities of Rikers Island to the dept of citywide administrative services." and "Direct the mayor’s office of long-term planning and sustainability to study the feasibility of different types of renewable energy sources combined with battery storage on Rikers Island.". 29 were referred to committee.
