Int 0538-2014
Use of injurious physical force by law enforcement officers.
This bill would require that police officers only use a proportionate amount of injurious physical force during the course of their duties and only if such force is reasonably necessary to protect themselves or others from harm or death, which they perceive to be imminent in nature.
