Wetlands Permits, New York City Watershed
Resolution calling upon the New York District of the United States Army Corps of Engineers to adopt the proposed regional condition for new wetlands permits within the New York City watershed, set forth in its November 18, 1998 Public Notice, which would require individual Clean Water Act permits prior to the dredging or filling of wetlands greater than one-third of an acre, in order to protect the public health of the nearly nine million New Yorks who rely on the New York City drinking water supply.
