Int 0506-2022
Requiring the department of consumer and worker protection to implement an outreach and education campaign on facilities that deceptively advertise or are otherwise misleading when offering reproductive health services.
This bill would require the city to undertake a public education campaign about deceptive advertisements and misleading information provided by facilities that represent that they provide reproductive health services. The campaign would provide information on what services these facilities typically provide, how they advertise their services, how these facilities can impact timely and safe access to pregnancy care, and how a person can file a complaint about deceptive practices by such facilities.
