Reporting on emergency medical services units.
This bill would require monthly reports from the Fire Department (FDNY) on the average number of emergency medical services (EMS) units available each day to respond to medical emergencies, categorized by EMS unit type and borough. The reported information would include for each borough, the average number of EMS units scheduled to respond to emergencies, and the average number of EMS units that are unable to respond to emergency call, disaggregated by the reason for such inability.
