A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting the sale of birds in pet shops
This bill would prohibit the sale of birds in pet shops. Such prohibition would apply to non-poultry birds typically kept as a pet or companion animal, including, but not limited to, parrots, cockatiels, finches, parakeets, and macaws.
