A study of single-use plastics

A Local Law in relation to a study of single-use plastics

This bill would require the Department of Sanitation, in consultation with the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, to conduct a comprehensive study of new waste policy initiatives that would reduce the sale, distribution and use of single-use plastic items in the city and advance environmental justice through such reduction. The final report would be due on December 1, 2023.
