Requiring the department of sanitation to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of accommodations for religious practices that conflict with set-out times for solid waste and recyclable materials.
A Local Law in relation to requiring the department of sanitation to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of accommodations for religious practices that conflict with set-out times for solid waste and recyclable materials
This bill would require the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) to analyze the ways in which the practices of New York City’s religious communities may conflict with the set-out times for solid waste and recycling material. DSNY would be required to propose accommodations for religious practices that conflict with set-out times and to evaluate the feasibility of these proposals.
