A Local Law in relation to requiring the department of buildings to report on the efficacy of elevator brake monitors and remote elevator monitoring systems

This bill would require the Department of Buildings to submit by December 31, 2019 a report analyzing whether brake monitors and remote electronic monitoring systems enhance elevator safety and, if so, the feasibility of requiring installation on all elevators in residential buildings.
