This bill would expand the city’s existing temporary outdoor dining program to include restaurants not located adjacent to sidewalks and roadways, with permission of the relevant property owner. It would also allow such establishments to prepare food in such temporary outdoor space subject to limits and guidance by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Fire Department and other relevant city agencies.
