A Local Law in relation to establishing a public library commission.
The bill would establish a temporary commission to evaluate opportunities for innovation and continued operation of New York City’s public library systems—the New York Public Library, the Brooklyn Public Library, and the Queens Public Library. The commission would meet quarterly and by April 1, 2016, submit a report to the Mayor and Council on its findings and recommendations.
