Establishing a day-fines pilot program in the office of administrative trials and hearings

A Local Law in relation to establishing a day-fines pilot program in the office of administrative trials and hearings

This bill would require the office of administrative trials and hearings to collaborate with two or more enforcement agencies designated by the Mayor to establish a pilot program to use day-fines for certain violations of local law. For this purpose, “day-fines” refers to a system for assessing civil penalties that takes into account a respondent’s daily disposable income.
