Create a senior housing task force.
A Local Law to create a senior housing task force.
This bill would establish a temporary senior housing task force that would develop and recommend changes to laws, regulations and policies related to the building code, housing maintenance, taxation and zoning in order to increase the availability and affordability of safe, appropriate housing for older New Yorkers. The task force would be comprised of nineteen members, including representatives from several city agencies and appointees of the speaker of the Council, and would be responsible to meet at least quarterly with a report of activities and recommendations to be issued every six months to the mayor and Council.
