Creating an archive of official government social media accounts.

A Local Law to amend the New York city charter and the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to creating an archive of official government social media accounts

This bill would require the New York City Department of Records and Information Services to create a publicly available and searchable online database of every post to a social media platform by any official government account. In addition, all agencies and offices of elected officials would be required to annually provide to DORIS a list of all official social media accounts associated with the agency or elected official.
