Creation of a harbor restoration commission.

A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to creation of a harbor restoration commission

This legislation would require the creation of a harbor restoration commission to partner with the appropriate federal and state agencies to support and encourage the restoration of New York harbor. The Commission would undertake activities to advance outreach to the public in planning restorations, flood control, storm water management and environmental stewardship. The commission would be designated to be notified of any spill of dumping in or around the New York Shoreline.
