Collection of information on sexual orientation and gender identity by city agencies during the hiring process.
A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to the collection of information on sexual orientation and gender identity by city agencies during the hiring process
This bill would require the Department of Citywide Administrative Services to provide an anonymous survey form to all persons applying for a vacant position with an agency. The survey would contain questions on the applicant’s sexual orientation and gender identity, but such information would not be included in the person’s application or be disclosed to individuals making employment decisions.
