Directional signs in residential buildings.
A Local Law to amend the New York city building code, in relation to directional signs in residential buildings
The proposed local law would require owners of all new and existing residential buildings 40 feet or more in height, even if such buildings only require one exit or exit access, to install directional exit signs indicating the path of egress travel when such path is not immediately visible. Building owners must install such signs no later than December 31, 2018.
