Disclosure of the industries of campaign contributors.

A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to the disclosure of the industries of campaign contributors

This bill would require the Campaign Finance Board to develop a list of industries in New York City, for contributors to indicate their industry when making a contribution, and, as part of the voter guide, to provide a pie chart for each candidate indicating the percentage of campaign contributions that came from contributors who indicated each such industry. Any contribution for which such information was not furnished would not be matchable.
