Permitting the appeal of decisions by the board of standards and appeals to the city council.
A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to permitting the appeal of decisions by the board of standards and appeals to the city council
This bill would require decisions of the Board of Standards and Appeals to approve a variance to be subject to review and action by the Council if the local community board or borough board recommends against approval of the variance and files a written objection. The Council would then be required to approve, modify, or disapprove the variance after a public hearing.
