A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to applications for variances and special permits before the board of standards and appeals

This bill would require certain standards for applications, and the application process, for variances and special permits before the Board of Standards and Appeals. Additional minimum standards for application materials would be set by rule by the Board. The bill would also establish a civil penalty for knowingly making or allowing to be made false statements to the Board of Standards and Appeals. The civil penalty would be enforced by the Corporation Counsel or an agency designated by the Mayor.
