Construction conditions in housing development projects.

A Local Law to amend the New York city charter and the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to construction conditions in housing development projects

This bill would require the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to create a list of preferred contractors, which takes into account construction conditions and incidents of wage theft. It would also require HPD to track construction conditions by developer, and contractor and create an ombudsperson position within HPD to respond to such construction conditions.
