Development of a disaster plan by the board of elections.

A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to the development of a disaster plan by the board of elections.

This bill would require the Board of Elections of the City of New York, in coordination with the Office of Emergency Management, to develop a plan for running elections following a natural or manmade disaster. The report would be due for completion by March 1, 2017 and would be submitted to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council and posted on the Board’s website.
