A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to notifying interested parties of the recording of certain real estate instruments
This bill would amend section 7-628 of the Administrative Code by requiring the Department of Finance (DOF) to notify interested parties by postal mail and, if elected by the interested party, by e-mail or text message, or both, when a deed-related or mortgage-related document has been recorded for the property. DOF would be required to send such notifications no later than 30 days after the relevant recording.
