A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of health and mental hygiene to develop and distribute parenting resource materials to parents and guardians of newborn children

This bill would require the department of health and mental hygiene to develop materials that identify resources for parents and guardians of newborn children and would require the department to distribute such information to new parents and guardians after receiving the registration of any birth. The bill would also require the department of health and mental hygiene to maintain a searchable directory on community-based organizations supporting maternal health available on their website.
