A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to monitoring and evaluating homelessness prevention and aftercare programs

This bill would require the Department of Social Services to report annually on the outcomes and operations of homelessness prevention and aftercare services such as the Homebase Homelessness Prevention Program, and to report every third year on the Department’s methodology, findings, and follow-up measures regarding performance audits of vendor contracts for homelessness prevention and aftercare services. This bill would additionally require a one-time report on early indicators of housing instability, opportunities for early intervention, and potential means of expanding services offered or populations served through homelessness prevention and aftercare programs.
