The installation and maintenance of tree guards
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the installation and maintenance of tree guards
This bill would grant the Department of Transportation (DOT) the authority to install and maintain tree guards on city property. Tree guards are fence-like structures installed around the perimeter of a tree pit in order to provide a physical barrier between a tree and the surrounding environment so that the tree may be better protected from physical damage and other harm.
