A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of correction to provide a letter of incarceration to all individuals as they leave the department’s custody
This bill would require the the department of correction to provide a letter of incarceration, also known as jail release papers or discharge papers, to every person that gets released from the department’s custody. The letter of incarceration must specify the date that a person entered and was released from custody.
