A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of education to distribute IDNYC applications to all high school students

This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to distribute information about the IDNYC municipal identification program to every student grades 9 through 12 at the start of each school year. At a minimum, this legislation would require DOE to provide every student with an IDNYC application form, as well as information about IDNYC eligibility requirements, the application process, including but not limited to a list of documents accepted to prove IDNYC identity and residency requirements, and the relevant benefits and discounts provided to IDNYC cardholders.
