A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to light pollution from light fixtures in a residential district
This bill would restrict persons other than government agencies from operating lights causing outdoor illumination greater than 3,000 lumens in a residential district, unless the lighting is fully shielded to reduce light trespass. Any person in violation of this bill would be liable for a civil penalty of $50.
