Requiring the DOE to report annually on the number of teachers, administrators and school staff who have completed therapeutic crisis intervention in schools training.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of education to report annually on the number of teachers, administrators and school staff who have completed therapeutic crisis intervention in schools training
The proposed bill would require the department of education to submit information to the mayor, the council and community education councils regarding the total number and percentage of teachers, administrators and school staff who have completed therapeutic crisis intervention in schools training. This training, which is provided through the department of education, educates participants on how to prevent or safely de-escalate behavioral crises with students and help students improve coping strategies.
