Requiring the department of sanitation to photograph, report and remove unlawful dumping on collection routes and reporting in relation thereto.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of sanitation to photograph, report and remove unlawful dumping on collection routes and reporting in relation thereto
This bill would require each Department of Sanitation (DSNY) collection truck to photograph and report any unlawful dumping, located on public property on its collection route, to the DSNY Commissioner who would ensure DSNY removes the unlawful dumping. It would also require DSNY to publish data on its website on each photographed and reported unlawful dumping, within 48 hours of completing a collection route, and to submit an annual report on such to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council and post such report on the DSNY website.
