A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting the sale of guinea pigs as pets, and clarifying the definition of the term “pet shop” to address inconsistent use of such term in the code
This bill would prohibit the sale of guinea pigs as pets. This bill would also clarify that a “pet shop” is a legal person, and would make amendments throughout the administrative code to implement this clarification without affecting the substance of regulations regarding pet shops.
