Electronic submission of documents to the department of buildings.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the electronic submission of documents to the department of buildings

This bill would require the Department of Buildings (DOB) to accept the electronic submission of computer-readable documents prepared using computer-aided design software and require the submission of structural and architectural plans in such formats. In addition, DOB would be required to use automated plan review software to review documents submitted in this format for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
