Education and outreach regarding solar and green roof requirements.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to education and outreach regarding solar and green roof requirements

This bill would require the Department of Buildings (DOB) to conduct targeted outreach every five years to inform building owners about the solar and green roof requirements mandated by Local Law 92 of 2019 and Local Law 94 of 2019. DOB would also be required to post notices and educational materials on the department’s website and submit a report describing the methods of targeted outreach employed by the DOB every five years.
