Creating a three-digit mental health emergency hotline.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to creating a three-digit mental health emergency hotline
This bill would require the Office of Community Mental Health (“Office”) to establish a three-digit hotline, staffed by mental health call operators, for individuals experiencing a mental health emergency. The Office would train call operators in the mental health emergency response protocol and conduct public outreach and education publicizing the three-digit hotline.
