Defining and regulating private streets in Staten Island.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to defining and regulating private streets in Staten Island.

This bill imposes maintenance and snow-plowing obligations on the owners of private streets in Staten Island, and sets forth a process to ensure that new private streets to be mapped in Staten Island meet the city’s safety and regulatory standards and are placed on the city map in accordance with State law.
