A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to establishing permit requirements for private streets to be mapped in Staten Island.
This bill adds the construction of a private street to be mapped to the list of activities that require a permit issued by the commissioner of Buildings. Currently, the New York City Construction Codes require such a permit when engaging in various construction activities including the construction, alteration, demolition, or change in the use or occupancy of a building or structure, or the installation, alteration or repair of its gas, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, or fire protection systems.
