A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the police department to report on police-civilian investigative encounters
This bill would require the NYPD to provide quarterly reports detailing information on level one, two, and three investigative encounters between the police and civilians, including the race/ethnicity, age and gender of the civilian approached by the police, the factors that led to the interaction, and whether the interaction led to a summons or use of force incident.
