Requiring visible shield numbers and rank designations.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring visible shield numbers and rank designations

The bill would require the shield number or rank designation of an uniformed officer to be visible. A private right of action would exist where an individual demonstrates that they requested that an officer make their shield number or rank designation visible and such officer did not comply.
