Street markings indicating locations of fire hydrants.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to street markings indicating locations of fire hydrants

This bill would require the Department of Transportation to mark the location of each fire hydrant next to a street by painting a symbol in the middle of the street directly across from the hydrant. These markings are intended to allow the Fire Department to find the nearest fire hydrant quickly when responding to an emergency.
