Requiring fire safety notices to be posted in all multiple dwellings and homeless shelters.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring fire safety notices to be posted in all multiple dwellings and homeless shelters

This bill would require the fire department to develop and post on its website fire safety notices which contain evacuation procedures for fires occurring inside of multiple dwellings. This bill would also require owners of multiple dwellings and homeless shelters to post the fire safety notices on the inside of the door to each apartment or area used to accommodate homeless individuals or families.
