A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring dogs to be restrained in public places
This bill would require all dogs to be leashed or otherwise restrained, except in an area designated as a dog run by the Department of Parks and Recreation. This bill would also require the Department of Parks and Recreation to post signs in areas where dogs were previously permitted to be unrestrained during certain hours stating that dogs must now be restrained in such areas, and to report on park areas that may be utilized as dog runs.
