Regulation of new for-hire vehicle licenses.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the regulation of new for-hire vehicle licenses

This bill would require the Taxi and Limousine Commission to study motor vehicle speeds in Manhattan south of 96th Street, known as the congestion zone. This bill would also permit the Taxi and Limousine Commission to limit the issuance of new for-hire vehicle licenses if average motor vehicle speeds in the congestion zone decrease.
