Requiring parks enforcement patrol officers to be equipped with opioid antagonists
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring parks enforcement patrol officers to be equipped with opioid antagonists
This bill would require all Parks Enforcement Patrol officers to be equipped with an opioid antagonist, such as naloxone, while on duty. It would also require such officers to be trained on the use of opioid antagonists. The Department of Parks and Recreation would also be required to report on these trainings and on the administration of opioid antagonists by Parks Enforcement Patrol officers to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council each year.
