Creation of a database of subsurface conditions to support better engineering of geothermal heat pumps.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring creation of a database of subsurface conditions to support better engineering of geothermal heat pumps.
This proposed local law would require that the database include a single place for geological logs of the city’s geothermal bores and locations of geothermal energy system installations. The database would also include locations of any and all water wells including unused privately owned wells. This database shall be updated annually.
