Limitations on the removal of leased vehicles for purposes of satisfying parking violation judgements.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to limitations on the removal of leased vehicles for purposes of satisfying parking violation judgements

This bill would prohibit the removal of vehicles under lease to satisfy judgements for Parking Violations Bureau (PVB) violations assessed against another vehicle owned by the lessor. The bill would also provide that the lessee of a vehicle removed in contradiction of this prohibition is entitled to immediate possession of such vehicle upon presentation of the lease agreement.
