A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to protecting the identities of victims of crimes of violence

This bill would allow victims of crimes of violence to request that the police department withhold their names from public disclosure. The police department may disclose the victim’s name where it is necessary to protect public safety.
