A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting the use of dogs or cats as security in certain contracts
This bill would prohibit the use of dogs or cats as security in contracts for their purchase or any lesser right or interest in them. Prohibited provisions would be unenforceable. Sellers, lessors and lenders who violate the law would be subject to a maximum fine of $500.
