Excepting impounded emotional support dogs from required sterilization prior to redemption by their owners.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to excepting impounded emotional support dogs from required sterilization prior to redemption by their owners
This bill would create a new exception to the requirement that impounded dogs be spayed or neutered before being released to their owners. Under the new exception, the owner of an impounded dog would be entitled to redeem their dog if they claim ownership and assert that the dog is an emotional support dog.
