Penalizing the removal of license plates and registration stickers from motor vehicles and increasing the penalty for leaving, abandoning, dismantling or removing components from motor vehicles.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to penalizing the removal of license plates and registration stickers from motor vehicles and increasing the penalty for leaving, abandoning, dismantling or removing components from motor vehicles

This bill would create a penalty for removing license plates and registration stickers from vehicles parked on public streets and in public areas. This bill would also increase the current penalties for abandoning, leaving, dismantling, or removing components from motor vehicles.
